Guided and commented visit of one hour. 1 km (round trip), you will discover one of the most beautiful caves in France.
From the entrance, the visitor is surprised by the grandiose concretions of the room (stalactites and stalagmites but especially large draperies and columns that reach the ground). This first fossil cave, known for a very long time, served as a prehistoric shelter for humans but also as refuge for animals (cave bears, ibex, horses ...).
Shortly after, in a magical way, we are invited to discover the riches of La Madeleine thanks to sound and light. It is a profusion of forms, where appear huge draperies suspended in the middle of the room. It is by sinking a little deeper underground, that we have the joy of discovering a set of exceptional concretions (eccentric, discs ...) and colors (gray, ocher, red and white) ever more beautiful as each other.
A family cave that will delight young and old alike and close to the campsite in Ardeche les Truffiéres open year round.
